Clean place, boiled hot dog. Wednesday special 2 hot dogs a soda and chips $5 prepared in less than a minute (Texas meat sauce shown).

This place has the best hot dogs out there. Its family owned and family friendly I would give it more then 5 stars

I have been going to Pete's for almost 40 years. The hot dogs and condiments are still as good as they were. Ive been to many of the famous hot dog joints throughout the world and cant find a better dog for the $. Whether visiting family in North Jersey or Putnam County in Ny I always make a trip to Petes. Its worth the trip from anywhere within an hour of newburgh. For $2 you can get the most popular combos like chili cheese or kraut n mustard texas weiner new york dogs etc

Lived in Newburgh in the 70's -my husband was from there and introduced me to Pete's hot dogs. It quickly became my favorite place for lunch. Back then they also offered home Meade Italian ice to top off the lunch..YUM. Love Pete's..

I was referred by a friend to visit Pete's Hot Dog Stand. The food was ok. But the attitude of the gentleman at the front counter was terrible. He was a slim fella with glasses and long hair. He was impatient and snatched the money out of my hand. I don't know maybe he was just having a bad day or he just didn't want to serve me, but I know one thing, my family and friends will never visit this establishment again. Ist and last time!

It's nice to know there are some things in life you can count on. Pete makes a great hot dog, that is for sure. I have been coming here since I was a teenager.

Great dogs . Service tops

Have been going to Pete's since the 1950's. My dad drove 50 miles for Pete's. Back then his dogs sold for literally 10 cents, yup, 10 cents each. He used to buy 10-15 at a clip. Super delicious and super soft rolls. Never disappointed

I'm not from the area but I really enjoy old school classics. Pete's is definitely in that category. The actual hot dogs themselves are great, all beef, good snap. It's not fussy, or trendy, but exactly what I hoped for: a couple dogs, one with a nicely splced and unique chili sauce, one with kraut and a root beer. Around 5 bucks, 10 minutes and you're on your way. I hope it's around for many more years.

I love Pete's Hotdogs. I went there four times in three days. The serve the long snapper dogs. I have been going there for 40 years. If your in Newburgh N.Y. you gotta try them.

This was my first visit to Pete's in Newburgh, family run since 1932. It is definitely a clean well run unassuming eatery with tasty dogs! As the founder once said " Keep It Simple. You’ve got a frankfurter, all-beef with natural casing. You’ve got a bun. Offer a few accouterments and something to drink, and you’re in the game". Well said Pete. No frills, simple and tasty! FYI: My order was 2 hot-dogs, the "Texas Dog" which has a mild meat sauce and the "New York Dog" which comes with sauteed red onions and I washed it down with a cold white cream soda.
